“There were children who never had a pair of shoes. Some children as old as seven didn’t even have pants. They were naked and hungry. If they became sick, they died because there wasn’t a doctor. They didn’t know Jesus loved them. How could they, it’s hard to listen with an empty stomach. My burden was to put food in their stomachs and Jesus in their life.”
